Dr. Rita Maizy
Dr. Rita Maizy earned her bachelor's in chemistry from the University of Michigan and a master's in Basic Medical Sciences from Wayne State University before completing her D.D.S. at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry — where she served as class president and sat on the executive board of the American Student Dental Association. A recipient of the Michigan Dental Association's John G. Nolan Award and a consultant for The Dental Advisor, she is driven by the relationships she builds with patients and by helping each one achieve their healthiest, most confident smile. She grew up in Royal Oak and lives in Plymouth.
Dr. John McLaren
Raised in Ann Arbor, Dr. John McLaren graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's in Materials Science Engineering, finished second in his dental class, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He went on to complete a three-year master's in restorative dentistry — a specialization held by fewer than 1% of practicing U.S. dentists. He has taught clinical dentistry at U of M since 2017, serves as an associate editor and clinical consultant for The Dental Advisor, and has published research on porcelain strengthening, color matching, and fiber-reinforced materials. He has volunteered with the Special Olympics Dental Program, Mission of Mercy, and Helping Hands Dental Clinic.
Dr. Yousif Maizy
Dr. Yousif Maizy is an experienced, Ann Arbor–based dentist who pairs advanced training in dental and health sciences with a genuinely compassionate, patient-first approach. He is passionate about preventive care — proper brushing and flossing, regular cleanings, and patient education — and emphasizes the value of consistent biannual visits for catching issues early. Patients appreciate his calm, thorough guidance for everything from routine care to more advanced dental needs.
